An exceptional gastronomic experience: VALENTRAIN on the Chemin de Fer du Bocq
Come and enjoy an exceptional gastronomic experience on board our vintage train!
You will be able to travel through the beautiful Bocq Valley while enjoying a gastronomic meal in a 1960s restaurant car (heated cars).

After a personal welcome at Spontin station between 11.45 and 12.15, the VAENTRAIN will set off for Braibant and then return to Spontin, Dorinne, Purnode and Bauche and back to Spontin (duration of the journey: approximately 3 hours).
Several stops are planned during the journey.
Throughout the journey you will be served a gourmet meal (3 courses).
Note: the train is heated, so you won’t get cold!
PRACTICAL INFORMATION :
- Departure and arrival point: the departure and arrival of the train are at Spontin station (Chaussée de Dinant, 3 in 5530 Spontin), see also our “Contact” section. There is ample free parking in front of the station.
Type of trains: your journey will take place in one of our trains, the most frequent of which are (in french) - MITROPA restaurant car
- HALBERTSTADT bar car
the cars will be pulled by 5205 and 5183 locomotives - WC: apart from our dining car, our trains are not equipped with WC. However, there are toilets available in the station.
- Accessibility for people with reduced mobility: Our trains date from the 1930s to the 1960s, when access to transport for PRM was not as developed as it is today. Nevertheless, we have installed mobile ramps on most of our trains. If you have any problems, please contact us
- Pet-friendly: Dogs are allowed on board our trains free of charge, on a lead.
- Journey time: The journey (with commentary) takes approximately 3 hours. From Spontin station, the train goes to Ciney (stop before Ciney station), then returns to Spontin and goes to Yvoir (stop at Bauche) and returns to Spontin. The diagram of the line is shown here
- Line 128 and the Chemin de Fer du Bocq: you can find information on line 128 here. Line 128 is run by the non-profit organisation “Patrimoine Ferroviaire et Tourisme” which is made up entirely of volunteers (and 1 employee). You can follow the life of the association on our blog.
- Your reservation: within the limits of our general conditions, you can modify and cancel your reservation yourself online or by contacting us by mail

- Guided tour of the Bocq Valley in a heated dining car;
- Service on board by qualified staff;
- High quality 3-course meal. Drinks included during the meal (aperitif, wine and water).
- Note: The other drinks (coca and other softs, bières,…) are to be paid at the usual prices.

- Event on reservation only
- Due to the configuration of our restaurant wagon, registrations are mainly made by 2 or multiple of 2 participants.
- For some tables, there may be 2 separate registrations (4 places per table).
- The number of participants will be a minimum of 28 people and a maximum of 42 people (if less than 28 participants, we reserve the right to cancel the excursion and to refund the registrations already made).
