Come and celebrate our railway heritage and (re) discover the Chemin de Fer du Bocq!
On 12, 13 and 15 August 2023, come and celebrate our railway heritage on one of the most beautiful lines in Belgium.
During the three days of the festival, you will have a superb experience in the fabulous world of the train of the past, the present and (almost) the present:
- Departure of a train every hour to discover the entire line of the Chemin de Fer du Bocq (Duration of the complete journey: 1H55).
- Exhibition and/or circulations of old and modern locomotives, carriages and wagons from different railway companies in addition to the PFT equipment.
- Various activities for young and old, train fans and others… fun for all!

During the three days of the Fête du Rail 2023 (12, 13 and 15 August 2023), you can reach the Chemin de Fer du Bocq by SNCB train via platform 5 at Ciney station (SNCB).

- departure: 13.10 h – route to Crupet – Duration +/- 45 minutes.
- departure: 15.10 h – circuit towards Braibant – Duration +/- 45 minutes.
- At the castle (opposite the station): fire truck from the Namur Province Fire School, military camp, castle tours and snacks (desserts).

- Buying your tickets online is highly recommended to limit queues and to save you money (buying tickets online (including fees) is always cheaper than buying them on site (when possible).
- The 3-day ticket is only available on our website
- Payment via this site or on the spot at the Spontin reception point by credit card or in cash.
- Access by car in Spontin, free parking.
- Access by public transport via Ciney, connection between IC Namur <–> Luxembourg trains and Chemin de Fer du Bocq trains (track 5).
- The activities, traffic and trains on display or running may be changed without notice and no refunds will be given.
